A month ago I attended the International Hard Anodizing Association´s symposium in Seville. My main goal was to speak with a lot of Hard Anodizing people and at the same time write an article for the magazine Light Metal Age.
The article summarize the presentations at the symposium. As the presenters gave their presentations, it was evident that environmental issues and energy consumption are pressing matters in all of the attending countries.
Important issues covered in this article, are the presenters views on process improvements, new European legal requirements to register chemicals for surface processes. Environmental improvements in order to produce “greener” surfaces using less energy.
